M&M Equipment is seeking an experienced Fork Truck Technician to support customers throughout Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Our technicians are the backbone of our operation—trusted to deliver on‑site service, diagnostics, and repairs that keep businesses running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and repair forklifts and material‑handling equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and OSHA‑compliant inspections
  • Handle in‑shop and local on‑site service calls
  • Communicate clearly with customers about repairs
  • Support occasional emergency service needs

Forklift Service Technician

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment (electric, propane, gas, diesel)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Complete service calls at customer locations and in-shop
  • Maintain accurate service records
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal staff
  • Represent M & M Equipment professionally

Qualifications

  • 2+ years mechanical or equipment repair experience (forklifts preferred, not required)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to learn and grow
